Sometimes it is best to set your 3G BlackBerry Smartphone to 2G (EDGE) only

 whenever you experience network problems and your phone displays full bars,By switching to EDGE only mode and ignoring 3G connectivity, every issue  experienced wld go away and your devices would be back normal (with exceptional battery life I might add on EDGE). Apparently ypu were picking up the town's 3G tower still but were near the limit of its range, which means yoi were ignoring the much closer towers that offered EDGE only.

Long Story Short: If you find your 3G data connectivity appears to be ok but all of a sudden you're experiencing poor battery life, undelivered BBMs, delayed SMS messages and calls dropping, try switching to 2G only. It might save you save from a ton of aggrevation!

NEW BLACKBERRY DEVICES!!!

we can now authoritatively say that in this month of August, series of new phones are going to be released into the blackberry market Blackberry Torch 9810 / 9860 bold 9900 curve 9360

If you're looking for one carrier who will be covering all bases BlackBerry, then Telus has this one wrapped up. Their latest leaked roadmap shows they'll soon be launching the whole 2011 line up from RIM. Although the images are rather blurry up there, here is what we can expect for devices and release dates:

• BlackBerry Torch 2 / 9810 / Jennings - August 15th
• BlackBerry Bold 9900 / Dakota - August 15th
• BlackBerry Torch 9860 / Monza - August 22nd
• BlackBerry Curve Apollo / 9360 - August 29th
• BlackBerry Orlando / Curve Touch - October 1st
• BlackBerry Bellagio / Bold 9790 - October 1st

That's quite a bit of BlackBerry devices all within a short span -- looks like RIM will be making up for lost time assuming these dates don't sway far from what they are now. Of course, roadmaps are guidelines and not official but either way -- it's nice to see all those dates listed.
